How to spot scratches ?

Hello,

I'm on the market looking for a worn 114270.

Kinda struggling to spot scratches on Chrono24 pictures.

Any tip ?

Any other website/market suggestions ?

What is the right price for a brand new 114270 ?

Used watches will always have a scratch or two as will any watch you wear. Good sellers will disclose those. If you aren’t confident in the seller, go the AD or brick and mortar route.

You mean visiting the seller to check the watch on site ?

Spot scratches? A watch can be;
1. Brand new and therefore not scratched.
2. Used and scratched.
3. Polished and not scratched.

Finding out which is which is normally very easy, no need for any detailed spotting.

True. I meant it's something difficult to have a proper look by looking at these pictures.

I checked out a watch in person that was advertised on Chrono24. The dealer was completely misleading saying it's new. Be warned. I'm in the advertising photography business and everything gets photoshop retouched.

If that is the case, then the product has been misrepresented and should be returned to the seller. That works on Chrono24, does it not?

It is normally better for a seller to highlight any imperfections. This way there will not be any misunderstanding.

If a dealer uploads bad photos, it’s a red flag in my opinion.

You should be able to see everything in advertisement pics. There's no excuse for crap pictures anymore.
