Best yellow gold Rolex

Hi everyone ,
Have been thinking for a long time to get myself a yellow gold Rolex. Not sure which model ? I’m on my 40’s and wear GMT Master ll Black dial for everyday use.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Tough call between a YG day date and YG blue sub in my opinion. If you have a GMT, I’d go day date.

Yellow gold Daytona with the emerald green dial, hands down the best yellow gold Rolex!

Day-Date, Daytona, Sky-Dweller, they are all great looking options. If you use the dual time complication on your GMT, maybe a Sky-Dweller? There is no wrong answer.

The yellow gold 116718 green dial is my favorite. I have the LN though so a YG day date would be the next choice, white dial Roman numerals. Enjoy the hunt

This will not be a popular answer.

I really like the YG Yacht master 2 for a full yellow gold watch.

I could actually narrowed it down to SUB black dial and Daytona black dial. What do you guys think between these two ?

I would much prefer the white dial on the Daytona. Black dial works on the YG Sub or GMT but not much else. Too much contrast IMO.

I’d say to ask...
if you want/need a particular complication, and start from there.
If no particular need for a complication, think about how often and what situations you’d be wearing it, and the durability....hides scratches, etc...
Dressing up or down more often?
At your age I don’t think anything is out of line, too old/young, etc...
I’ve got my YG favorites, but it’s always a personal decision.
As always...get what you’ll love best!

This is very good advice, of which I find very well thought out as I decide on a yellow gold watch. Thank you for these insights.

For me, it has to be the day date.

A lot of people on this forum swear by the YG Blue Sub.

I’d chose this one. I think the black dial/bezel and yellow gold work really well together. Plus I’ve found that having the glide lock on a solid gold watch is a must for me.
