You planning on testing the limits?!?!?!

Basically you say something in appropriate and you'll get points. The mod will tell you all the details when you get points.

usually get a warning, points if you are rude or offensive and don't follow forum rules, accumulation of points (if you don't get the hint to shut up and follow the rules) will get you banned.

you can browse through the members list (under "Community" and it should tell you who's been banned. As far as I know, their name remains on the user list..?

We don't discuss banning or banned members.. It's a difficult decision we don't take lightly.

Is the infraction system like being sent to bed without supper or being put in a corner for a timeout!!!

Why complicate things? It's like demerit points on your driver's licence - if you get points, take your foot off the pedal. If you want to keep getting points, sooner or later you're going to stopped from driving. Same thing applies here.

Looking at the spirit rather than the letter of the law, it's pretty simple. If you can't say something to a stranger in a pub without half expecting to get your nose broken, don't say it here.

James, do you all require a mod to be online at all times?

I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that many mods are actually online without us being able to know about it! Stealth mode for our awesome mods

Whenever it's practical, we have a mod on board. The mod team comes from the US, Europe, and Australia, so we've fairly much got coverage across each day.

As for that example, yup, it was a perfect illustration of someone who insisted on digging his grave instead of waking up and smelling the coffee. That's pretty mindless behaviour and we simply can't let the collective IQ be dragged down by such specimens.

Maybe I'm missing something here - what are you referring to?
