Jonesing for my Pepsi
Finally looking to get into my 1st Pepsi. Wondering how long I will have to endure the wait. With the Rolex opening up next week or so hopefully some will be spilling in my market. I've bought a couple of watches this year from my AD so hopefully I will get the chance to be thought of. So far my AD has been extremely Helpful and awesome to deal with. Very happy with my new Tudor BB and IWC chronograph. If you are ever by the Mall of America stop out to Wixon Jewelers they have a huge selection and are awesome to deal with.

You're right, Wixon is fantastic. Love them.
Don't count on getting a BLRO anytime soon though, lol. Good choice though, it's a great looking watch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Honestly, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a BLRO. Deliveries (inventory) in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 19 to ADs was pretty sad— I would submit there are a few folks anxiously waiting for a call soon. I know several ADs that have already received a couple of boxes of inventory as of last week.
Will be interesting to see what happens between now and Basel. |

I hope you land one sooner than later, it’s a great watch, one of the very best modern Rolex IMHO |

Wixon is a solid AD (so is Moeller) and their main WIS Dustin is good to work with. That being said, unless you have spent serious cash with them, you are going to be in a wait for a BLRO.

i spoke to my SA at the AD, he told me that there were over 900 people asked to put on the list when the pepsi first came out. so it's gonna be a while before it gets to us.

Welcome to TRF!
It’s likely going to take a while to get the BLRO but it’s worth the wait |

best of luck
a Tudor and IWC purchase won't get you far in NY, perhaps where u are it gets you a Pepsi (but unlikely, i would presume). |

So much of it honestly depends where you live and how many AD’s are in your area, affluence of city, etc!
In regards to spending, that seems to be the biggest factor unfortunately. From personal experience (I buy watches on behalf of my in-laws) I’ve purchased 5 Rolexes in the last 6 months at one of the few AD’s in Denver (we only have 3) which is certainly a lot of money, but they get people that come in and also spend 200k in 45 minutes. Even with consistent purchasing over last 3 years or so, our salesperson won’t even commit to a timeframe on the BLRO . We can get BLNR within 90 days so we are doing that, and keeping on the BLRO list with the hope we can MAYBE get a nice text message in 2020. Putting out good vibes for you! Grey may be your best option if speed is a factor.

Always great to see a fellow Minnesotan on the forum! Wixon is my primary AD as well, and I was lucky enough to collect the first BLNR from them in 2020. I prefer the BLNR anyways, but they also told me that the interest list for the BLRO was a lot longer.
If you're OK going slightly vintage I did trade in a 16710 from 2001 the other day. Could scratch that itch a bit and perhaps help move you up the list. As others have said, Dustin is fantastic to work with. As is my SA Debra.

I did see that one in there and was tempted. But with the other 2 watches added to my collection I finally want a box and papers Rolex in my name. I already have 3 other Rollies going back to 1966 and forward. I looked at the Tudor GMT but know if I pull the trigger I will always have that itch in my head for the Rolex. I've expressed my intentions with the AD that this is not a flipping watch but a heirloom for my kids.

The Pepsi was actually my first ever used Rolex purchase, and I learned that I really like the process of buying new, even if it means waiting. Everytime I wore the Pepsi I felt like I had to baby it or be much more careful because it was 20 years old. Don't feel that way with any of my newer watches so i am going to stick with new from now on.

Good Luck! Ask your AD for one and gauge the response. I think you are better of going Grey. IWC and Tudor will not increase your changes for a pepsi IMHO.

Won't go grey. I'll just end up moving on to something else. Which is a shame but that is their business model.

Sounds like I am going to have to go check out Wixon. I've been in both Moeller stores (the downtown location closed, so now there are only 2) and their selection was almost entirely DJs. The St. Paul store did have an all gold sub this weekend and a couple of OPs, but for the most part it was DJs in different sizes and styles.

Wixon usually has a great supply of Rolex well except for the main models. But they do house some other very fine Watch brands there as well. Patek, JL, Tudor and PAN. Great guys to work with.

Congrats! Love to hear that other Minnesotans are getting the watches they want. If you don't mind saying, which AD did you get it from?

Look at options otherwise, depending on your market the wait could be long .
No one ever seems to want anything else but Rolex, Patek, and AP. I guess no one wants a Tag heuer or Omega . Available, Probably at a discount and no waiting. Tag heuer Carrera GMT $6150 Tag huer Aqua racer GMT $2850 Omega world timer $9100 Probably a hundred dual time and GMT watches to choose from. Have fun with something else while you wait.
