When everything fails they blame the Chinese....I find it very amusing, in the lawsuit it said a German-based company ran those factories in China. They need to investigate the source of this.

Maybe if the home builder knew that Florida is humid and use a different dry wall for a particular region/climate? I don't know if there are different grades of drywall for particular regions......

I hope the homeowners get their homes repaired because this is very unfortunate in today's economy.

Ugh this reminds me, who do I call to check for dangerous mold in my drywall? Since the neighbors flooded our basement, I may have potentially dangerous mold in my bedroom wall.

Okay, I know pretty much nothing about building materials, so the mold is actually in the insulation, whatever that fuzzy looking yellow or pink stuff is called. Seriously guys, would I call a health inspector to check it out? I have no idea!

I'd get an expert to shift that insulation (Don't touch it, it will irritate your skin) and replace it.

If the insulation in your wall is damp and mouldy, it will have no insulation properties whatsoever (sonic or thermal) and will also cause your plasterboard to suffer from damp and eventually degrade into a black pulpy mess, it'll also damage the timber studwork.

I would have a chat with the insurance company to claim against the neighbours and put things right.

If you have any masonry in your external walls, you may have to get a company in to provide a remedial damp treatment.

Now...after that serious business, I need to maintain my reputation...errmmmm Boobies!!
