ROC 25860 vs 36315

I will be picking up a ROC in the near future and want to make sure I get the right one. I have small wrists sub 6.5in and the 41 mm RO/ROC are too big. I have been interested in the new 38mm chronos but how would you compare these to the original 39mm ROC? Seems as the movement is the same and major differences being aesthetics and clasp. Is that enough of a reason to opt for the new one? 39mm seems so much more balanced in pretty much every RO.

I have a slightly larger wrist than you and I too feel the 41mm fits rather large. I own the 38MM and (to my impression) it fits me perfectly. It wears similarly to the 39MM Jumbo. See pic of both side by side.

That is very helpful and looks great on you. I see the bezel thickness is about the same which I like. Its the broader shoulders and initial bracelet size before the taper that I think makes me prefer the 39mm models. But both are stunning hence tough decision. The 39mm ROC line has appreciated a fair bit in the market and now hard to get one sub 20k

I think both models would work although it may depend on just how much under 6.5" your wrist is. For me at 6.5" the 39mm models are perfect but I have not actually seen or tried on a 38mm model.

The only things I could think of disadvantage-wise of the 39mm models compared to the 38mm models are

• The older single deployant clasps can sometimes make the fit a little tricky (I had to get a 1.5 link). I believe double deployants tend to work better for most of us with smaller wrists.
• Since they are older, they may need to be serviced if this hasn't been done recently (maybe $1500ish)

The advantages to me of the 39mm models over the 38mm are

• The date window placement
• Subdial symmetry

Ultimately your final choice may simply come down to availability and dial/subdial colors.

Thanks. My wrist is around 6.3 inches. Daytona fits me perfectly. Are there any quality issues with the single deployant clasps or they as solid as the new ones?

My old 25860 needed laser welding. My current 25960 is perfect. You mileage may vary.
