Swapped my BLNR bracelet
So just finished replacing jubilee bracelet on my new BLNR with submariner bracelet. So far I like it better as my daily watch

I’ve been thinking about this as well. What spring bars did you use?

That looks absolutely awesome. Do you know if you can swap the PCL bracelet to the brushed on the 116710?

I've read that it could be done, but I have the 116710BLNR and tried to put my Sub-C glidelock bracelet (97200 is the reference I believe) on it but the the springbar pins would not engage the lug holes. Might have to try it with thinner springbars for more "allowance." However the 78790 bracelet with the SELs from my D-serial ExpII fits just fine so that's what I'm wearing it on right now!

It's nice for a change. However, I like the jubilee or the polished center links of the original BLNR better.
As much as a tool watch the GMT is, it has its' roots as a dress watch for the aviators in uniform at the time. |

Yes. Here's a submariner bracelet on my 116713 just for proof. Just use the GMT spring bars as they have the required narrower tips.

I personally don't like it.
The Jubilee looks better on the GMT. |

That looks much better IMO. But each to our own. The Glidelock is a nice bonus.

Looks much better on an Oyster and all the better for also not having PCLs..
This style is the original GMT style and should be how they all come. The Jubilee was only ever an option and one I would never choose. If other people like it Rolex should go back to making a Jubilee an option and brushed Oyster as standard. |

Much prefer the jubilee.
That said, throwing the oyster on could be a good change of pace for the BLNR. |

Biggest gripe I’ve had with the modern GMTs is polished center links. Toying with picking up a 116710 and would probably do the same thing with the bracelet from my Sub Date. Having the glide lock clasp would be nice too.

That was my initial thought when the original Batman was released in 2013, was never a fan of the polished center links on the oyster Sent from my SM-G975W using Tapatalk |
