New to AP
Hey guys, I am quite new to the brand, so I apologize in advance for the stupidity of my questions.
From what I understand the Jumbo in 39mm has a massive waiting list (how much?), but the rest of the SS Royal Oaks should be in a year, right? I am looking at the Chronos, particularly the one with the blue dial - 26331, are they reachable, and they are more or less the same price on the secondary right. I find them very beautiful, and tried the panda on my wrist - gorgeous. From the ROO, the jumbo trades above MSRP? Have not seen it in person. I do not have previous purchasing history, but a relative of mine worked with the AP, so I think I can get reasonable access to one SS piece (bar the 15202) which one is the safest buy Ro and ROO? Thanks in advance. |

jumbo will be impossible, 15500 black/grey according to people here is doable within 6 months or so. not too sure about 26331

15202 - as has already been stated is a no go.
The 15500 with the black dial could be do-able within a few months - ruthenium dial - I wouldn’t think so. Maybe a year on that one. Black dial is the safest bet. The blue dial 26331 - I wouldn’t hold my breath on - the panda dial (white with black sub dials) has been easier to source as well as the black with silver sub dials. Good luck! If you have the choice between ROO#26237ST.OO.1000ST.01 and RO26331, what would you choose? I am Eastern European (and big) and as the stereotype attracted towards the ROO, but I acknowledge that the RO is a bit more versatile. My wife clearly likes the RO over the Roo, but the little EE boy in me screams the big boy. Is there a bit of a move from ROO towards RO in general for the reasonable ppl?
Which one is easier to move on, when the passion moves me in a different direction? Thank you so much for the time. |

I have the 26331 blue dial and love it. I think that would be the harder to get of its dial options and likely has the best resale. Not sure how it compares with the 26237, however.

A royal oak does best on secondary, I would look to get a 15500 or 44 ceramic. Just my take and also biased as it’s what I have lol
