Grand Seiko GMT or Hublot Classic Fusion blue

Torn between the two watches. They both are beautiful and it’s hard to pick
one over the other. Any thoughts which one to buy and why?

Showing your ignorance there. Fashion is Michael Kors, and the like, Hublot has made a few contributions to horology, for which it has won awards.

I'd get the GS.

Even though my answer would be GS regardless of which models you are considering (not a fan of Hublot), which GS GMT are you considering ?

My vote is for the GS. You get a high quality, high horology watch for mid-tier pricing.

Hublot, because I’m a big fan of the brand. The Classic Fusion Blue Titanium is really nice, especially the blue rubber and alligator strap. GS never did anything for me.

Hublot - looks better and more unique watch imo

The Grand Seiko dial and hands will wipe the floor with the Hublot’s, but the Classic Fusion is thinner and easier to play around with straps to change things up.
The GS will have a longer PR, and obviously provides the “benefit” of the GMT hand, but still looks like a typical regular watch, whereas the Hublot offers quite a different style which may suit your personality or lifestyle better.
It may be a case of working towards having both or thinking which adds what’s missing to your collection – GMT function or stylised contrast to what else you have.

Not all Hublot models are equal. Despite the bad press it gets on this forum, Hublot has a few interesting offerings in the ultra thin line. Two barrels, generous reserve, etc.

Most of the bad vibe you get is from the folks who despise Hublot ads, marketing.

Grand Seiko all the way, regardless of which model, you will get a high quality, precision movement made in house and a finish on the dial and bracelet that rivals (and beats imo) many of the high end Swiss brands.

My vote is GS, because I own one, and it's one of the best decision I made. Hublot on the other hand may not retain much value.

Watches should be investments but it’s hard to ignore the the value of a hublot will tank as soon as you walk out of the store. I do like some designs but the pedigree of the GS can’t be denied too so I’d choose that over the hublot.

Shouldn't watches be fashion? if one want investment might as well go for properties investment. If one think about how the value doesn't retain then sorry my friend, you can't afford to play :)

I take the Hub classic since GS GMT size is too big for my wrist
