Rolex OP39 on leather?

I ordered a hirsch strap for my speedmaster and was thinking of using it for my OP 39. Problem is that the Rolex OEM springbars are a little thick for the strap. Would this pose a danger to my watch?

To those that use leather straps on your Rolex, do you have longer spring bars when using leather straps for extra security?
