DATEJUST 2: No Jubilee bracelet option!?

Guys, I was looking through the press spec pdf provided in the link below at the various options on the new DJII (and sub whilst i was at it)

http://www.rolex.com/media/files/dow...release-en.pdf

There is no mention of a Jubilee bracelet option on the new mens' DJII... only on the 'womens' 36mm (as per the current/old DJ)

Are these likely to be the ONLY option bracelet/case wise? (obv not dial)

All I see is 'oyster bracelet' for the mens' versions... really worrying as I had my heart set on the new updated DJ on a Jubilee.

Whats going on guys?

I wish it wasn't true either, as I ranted about it, in my previous thread.

The 36mm as of the first day of Basel became a women's watch in my opinion.

On Rolex's site, the gallery of all the 36mm watches tend to market towards the females.

i agree with u 100 percent... 36mm datejust is for women... why wouldnt they want to make the 41mm mens datejust in jubilee???

IMO I think that this is a complete bastard!sation (am I allowed to say that on here? apologies if not) of a timeless classic.

There must be a jubilee... its crazy if not. For me, the oyster bracelet is more of a 'sports bracelet' (despite being beautiful) and the jubilee is the only dress-alternative to the president on the D-D.

At least they are not making the 36 entirely redundant with the intro of the oversized 41mm, but i'm disappointed in making it the 'womans option'... its still a worthy classic.

Im at work so havent seen your post as yet, but will check it out when i can!

Such a shame.

Listen 36 mm is and always will be a mans size. Sure a woman can ware it to but when i want to get a little dresier i dont feel the need to strap a soda can to my wrist.. IMO

I see alot of ladies wearing 40mm as well so is all the men here going to get rid of there sports watches. Whats next.

Anyone know if there is a smooth/domed bezel on the DD II SS?

Fluted bezel and oyster bracelet are only options shown and mentioned in print on the website. Hopefully down the road we'll see the jubilee and domed bezels. BTW, my 36 mm DJ will not be replaced by the II. If I like the looks of the II on my wrist I may add it at some point.

It's early days, people. It'll be the same as when the DD II was launched, more options will be added over time. Give it a couple of years, and we'll see the choice we currently have on the DJ 36mm.

Well, what's the lug width on the new DJ? If it's still 20mm the currebt super jubilee will work. I can see the jubilee not being an option.

The new DJ @ 41 mm is a bit of a disappointment to me.......after all that eager anticipation and waiting.

And without the Jubilee.....even more!!

lug size on dd2 is 21mm, so dj2 will be the same.
this maybe is the reason that the jubilee bracelet is not available from
the beginning.

This is all wayyy too bad news for me... I was wanting one of the new ones for my 21st Bday in July, but I am adament on having it on a Jubilee... looks as though I am going to have to cancel plans of DJII for bday and wait, or get one on an oyster (which would absolutely have to be with a smooth/domed bezel for me)

Bummer

From the looks of things, it's only in steel and gold at the moment, so no smooth bezel either.

That is one ugly dial too! I hate the changes to the Rolex site. The old navigation was much better.

Why not wait for judgement until you see it in person.

I thought the DDII looked awesome, but in real life, it looks out of proportion.

The same may be true of the DJII. Give it some time, they just fricking came out folks! The sky isn't falling just yet.

According to James Dowling's conversation with Rolex earlier today, the jubilee for the new 41mm DJ will be coming soon.

I don't think that info is correct. I'll believe it when I see it after the Basel Fair.........if it happens!!

The lug width of the DJ2 is 21 mm - not the standard 20 mm..............and I don't believe that the Super Jubilee has been manufactured in the 21 mm lug width yet.
