Advice - Hulk swap for 114060
Hi.
A friend of mine is after trying a Hulk (2019) and I have one that isn’t overly getting worn, mainly down to current value (risk). Anyway he has offered me a swap deal of £4200 (around 5400 usd) plus his 2019 Sub non date. With all the noise of the hulk getting discontinued etc, what would you guys do? I do like the look of the ND. I also have a nice daily watch on my 16710. |

I could never part with mine
But if you love it you really should wear it. I wear mine everywhere, I don’t think you should worry about wearing out at all. As long as you are sensible you shouldn’t have an issue. |

I don't know what condition his no-date is in, but I imagine his watch is worth $8-8.5K. In today's market, your Hulk is worth at least $14K- even in the wholesale market. That's before we even talk about the potential discontinuation (which I'm not really sold on, to be honest, but whatever). Edited to add: Wait- £4200 is $5400, not $4500 like you wrote. That puts the Hulk closer to what it's worth. At this point, it just depends if you want to forego a potential skyrocket in pricing.

I was not a fan of the Hulk for the longest time...
I have come to appreciate the monster... I wouldn't do that trade unless for 2 reasons... 1. You need some liquid cash soon. 2. You no longer like the hulk. Otherwise you can always add a sub c... Not a hard piece to get or acquire.... |

I prefer the Submariner to the LVC regardless of the price. If the numbers work I’d consider it.

I live quite close to you. I wear my Hulk every day in Manchester City Centre. You've more chance of getting hit by a tram (or lightning) than having your watch nicked. If you like the watch just wear the hell out of it. Your insurance will cover it should you actually get hit by lightning. If you have those worries you'll still worry about the ND surely? And if so then a G shock would be best for you.

If true that's really odd. Have they sold their cars too?

Your watch, your choice.

No way. 114060 is a beauty but the LVC has so much going for it. Sub history paired with the modern twist of color and sunburst dial.

Everyone talks about the LV being discontinued, what if the 114060 gets pulled.

What’s the story on your 710? Pepsi, Coke, Black? If black, I’d pass. Outside of that, if you don’t wear the LVc let it go, especially to a friend. The numbers are not terrible.

If the hulk gets discontinued this year I expect reseller market vales to rise. So I wouldn't wait for Basel.

I think it is a fair deal and you get the benefit of dealing with a friend. No internet scammers, fees, lost in mail, meeting up with a stranger, counterfeit concerns, etc. I agree wait for Basel, but I would much prefer a sale or trade deal with someone I know and trust.
