Dallas RSC closed indefinitely
Just a FYI for those that have something in "the shop."
Dear Valued Customer: We have encountered an unanticipated delay, which will require additional time to complete the service process. As our communities continue to wrestle with challenges presented by COVID-19, we are working towards ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. After careful consideration, Rolex will not re-open on April 13 as previously announced. We will continue to follow official state and local guidelines and will reopen as soon after the end of April as possible. We appreciate your understanding during this time period and hope you and yours stay safe and healthy. If you have questions on the above, you may call Rolex Service Division at (214) 871-0500. Kind Regards, |

Not surprised. I’m glad I held off on sending my SubC 116610 G serial in for service.
I’m still debating on Dallas RSC vs. NY RSC...

Well that’s unfortunate timing...think of it this way, by the time you get it back you’ll fall back in love with it all over again.

The U.K. RSC are also closed but with no information whatsoever, other than a terribly recorded message when you phone them.

I just got my SD43 back from them about 10 days ago. They did a fantastic job. Glide lock was jammed and Ben Bridge is incompetent. Was gone for 6 weeks. Fell in love again

Dallas County is effectively shut down until April 30. The head elected official for the county, Judge Jenkins can extend the shut down until May 20. The peak of the corona epidemic in Texas is projected to occur May 6 (Covid19.healthdata.org). I am guessing that Dallas will be shut at least until 10 days after the peak.

I got very lucky. My watch was mailed on the day the closure was announced.
I just hope everyone stays healthy which is fantasy but I can wish. |
