Top or Bottom?
Choice of between one of these two you would rather have? Top or bottom? Any particular reason? Excluding price differences!

The Rolex. I am not a fan of the AP styling and have no use for a chrono.

This ^^^ Ironically, my work watch/motorcycling beater is an EcoDrive chrono & have never used the chrono function for timing purposes. I have only tried to get the chrono hand & the running seconds to tick at the same time when I'm bored.

Rolex! The AP appears to come from a chewing gum machine.

It's difficult.
Just by looks, I would say the AP because I currently prefer watches on a rubber strap. Reasons not to go with AP though is they will have you at servicing, I have also heard their steel pieces are quite soft, if you get a dent on your bezen, your bezel is essentially done, as only AP can get the angles polished and theres only so much polishing that can be done. That being said Rolex is the safer and better choice. Classic case, better movement, holds value, service won't charge you an arm and leg, more robust. P.S. I own neither, so what do I know! |

The rolex without a doubt. AP ROs look horrible IMO. They are a complete fad IMO and will end up like all of APs other models that aren't a normal RO lol.
