Diamond Bezel changes
I was asked by a friend who has a 18k DD if Rolex will allow him to add a diamond dial and diamond bezel to his watch....I was under the notion that Rolex will not at any cost alter the bezel or dial listed on the original warranty?

I don't think he can but I could be wrong. Maybe he can source it outside and get it install by a watchmaker.
P.S. Congrats for landing Jay Cutler. |

Rolex WILL IN FACT up grade the bezel on 18k models.

I'm under the impression that the Diamond models have different references, so I don't think Rolex will do it themselves. That's why there are so many aftermarket diamond bezels knocking about.

I work at an AD. You can upgrade to a diamond bezel on a solid gold or platinum model. The reason you see so many aftermarket versions is that many SS and TT owners would like one on their watch (pre-2009 basel models of course). Rolex bezels are also very expensive as they use D-E/IF diamonds that are cut specially for Rolex, and will seal the case to its rated pressure......which in turn keeps the warranty happy.
