Anybody seen or heard anything about the Tissot Sea Touch ?
I just found this video on youtube and I am completely amazed by the capabilities that the Tissot Sea Touch has.

OK
My Fiancee bought me a T-Touch as I wanted the compass. I wore it a couple times a week, after 2 mths the touch function quit working, took it to the store they changed it for a new one that one quit a couple months later, they said their in store warranty was 90 days and Id have to send it in, I spoke to the manager and convinced him that since this one was less than 90 days old they still had to honor the warranty and exchange it. Worked great for about 4 mths and then it quite (touch function) again.... Sent it to Tissot they fixed it, broke again last mth (its over a year old) and I sent it back to Tissot they want a few hundred to fix it and I can get one gray market for less... I say stay away.... Just my 2 cents

Yeah I know that there is a problem with the touch sensor but honestly they look cool
The price though is a bit steep 830 euros for the Sea Touch with a rubber strap

Worse part of it all was how hard it was to
get to talk to someone about my watch, then understanding that person. The people in charge of service can't help with anything! They are a separate division and can only fix or replace a watch within they year. Anything else you have to take up with the main company but the main company doesnt have anyone who is in charge of warranty or service... It was an absolute nightmare. Now I have a TTouch which only tells the time with the hands and the date below (I am lucky thats what was on the screen when the touch function died)

just going a google search - it seems this watch goes for $600 on the internet -
with all the problems jyogi mentioned - you're better off getting a citizen dive watch at $300 - no touch - but when I was in the Marines, most of us who dove would only buy this. we didn't have the money for a sea dweller or aquatimer of course! this is the one I had - probably buy another someday http://www.princetonwatches.com/shop/BJ2004-08E.asp |
