How much should a vintage DJ cost?

Hi there fella’s,

Noob here - I made some good investment choices 🤞🏻🤞🏻 And want to put some of that money into a watch. I’m in love with the vintage DJ style (1601, 1603, 16000 or 16013 even the 16233). I think I would prefer the sapphire crystal era of DJ’s. Don’t see a lot of variation online though and sure as hell won’t be able to tell the difference between a authentic and (good) replica.

Please help - What is the best way to go about buying a vintage piece? What should the price of a VDJ go for? EBay, on the forums, elsewhere? Let’s assume the watch is at least 7/10 (whatever your standards are) or better.
