My local Rolex dealer is working up an offer to exchange my 2008 14060M for a new Submariner. I would pay the difference between his offer and retail on a new Sub.

I’m thinking about it but would appreciate your opinion!

Date or no date. If the latter I wouldn’t do the swap. I fact thinking about it I wouldn’t do the swap. Other than a newer watch I don’t see what you are gaining. Unless it’s for a LV.

Never. I'd take the 14060M over any 6 digit reference, it is perfect Rolex design IMO.

Amen to that! I would never do that deal. I would never trade mine even for a straight up swap for any modern SS Sub.

I'd keep the 14060M.

Love the older references.

That said, I do enjoy the latest models. But if at all possible, I wouldn't trade an older reference to get one.

It is really a personal choice, depends what you like but I would keep the 14060m. Keep in mind that the four liners 14060m (yours I believe is one since it is from 2008 and it with engraved rehaut) are quite rare as they were produced in a limited production run before being discontinued.

Try it on before you decide, the 5 and 6 digit subs wear very differently.

I would not trade or sell the 4 liner 14060A. Classic Sub and quite rare.

No absolutely not, you’ll regret it.
Keep the 14060M and save up for a 116610LN.....you’ll finds they wear really different.....both superb in their own right

I'm "guessing" you spoke to a Salesman and he lowballed an offer to keep you from looking elsewhere while he checks with the owner of the company for a real number.

Pros and Cons to both. I prefer the 5 digit version. Try on the new one. Old one more subdued, new one more bling. Old one light and very easy to wear. NEW one leans a bit heavy for me. Wrist size , your overall build my determine which version suits your personality and looks better.

They are completely different watches in how they feel, wear and emotionally pull you.
