Poor man’s GS Snowflake? ::Lol::

New Pressage offering from Japan has dial reminiscent of the GS Snowflake. Gorgeous!
Many more Pressage offerings, and others via Sakura Watches based in Tokyo.
Happy shopping!

Not really

Not really a poor man's snowflake. The Presage STAR BAR Limited Model SRRY033 is a ladies 34mm stainless steel piece. However, there is a "poor man's version" of the snowflake. The Seiko SARX055 is a 41mm all titanium men's watch often referred to as the Baby Snowflake which is available for about 20% the cost of the Grand Seiko Snowflake.

They also have a men’s versionof that cheaper Pressage I just happened to post this pic.
I have heard of the SARX055 on here; I’ll have to check it out

Thanks for the extra push I needed...
I want to see this model in person hence, there will be an incoming post asking, “does this model watch look like a dinner plate on my wrist?”

Enjoy your day - you just gave me something to look forward to!

Ok all - I’ll quit posting in my own thread now... :)

Without the Spring drive, it’s just not the same thing, but I understand what you mean.

I understand! Just meant that type of dial...
A different title was merited then?
I will be checking out that SARX055 mentioned above.

Now I can’t unsee it
My bank account can handle that one better right now than the Snowflake.
Curse you gentlemen...

I have one and quite enjoy it. The dial is just as amazing as the GS and takes on many appearances depending on lighting. Until you can see one in person here's a teaser!

The presage line is Awesome!!!
It’s a lot of watch for the price...

Here just a different model SSA343j1

Very nice Euge! I love that dial.
I’ve gotten quite fond of the varied offerings in the Pressage line myself.

This model looks great in picture, enough for me to go to the Seiko boutique to check it out. In person though, and comparing with my snowflake side by side, I could see that there is still a big difference (fortunately). Presage is pretty expensive though, given that the last time I checked, their specs are still in the +/- 30secs day range.

There is a difference for sure. The movement seems to be how they held the price down. That said, it is a good introduction to GS if you are similar to me in that you appreciate the brand and craftsmanship but are on the fence about the lack of micro adjust on the bracelets.

All this discussion had me reaching for it this morning. One more photo showing hands taking on blue hue of seconds hand.

It has arrived - this poor (wo)man’s Snowflake! ;) I switched to this Crown & Buckle strap for now since the Titanium bracelet needs to be adjusted. A silly iPhone pic doesn’t do justice for this dial.
Cheers!

Thank you! I have a few other colored straps I might play with first since I’m in no hurry to have the bracelet sized. I’m afraid the bracelet will make the watch look HUGE and roll on my wrist.
