Two new Tourbs

Don’t get too excited, there’s only 30 of them across both models, but that sunburst dial sure is pretty.

Japan exclusives... still blows my mind that the buyer set is able to suck up so many +$200k pieces such that AP regularly runs LEs for the market. Quite impressive

That sunburst dial is very pretty, and then they go and drill a bloody great hole through it to show of a mechanism which is totally redundant in a wrist watch.

No, not really.
Many manufacturers choose not to install exhibition case backs to their watches. Some people, admire their watches because of the external aesthetics, with the knowledge that a mechanical movement is busy away inside the case keeping things "ticking" over.
