First AP (advice needed)
Hi All,
This is my first post here but have been looking around for some time. I have been looking around at various APs and have always wanted one. This would be my first luxury watch and instead of going toward an Omega, I fell for the royal oak offshore and anything less wouldnt make me happy. That being said I would like to spend 10K assuming Ill be spending another 2K on getting it serviced and then the insurance. Is it possible to get something in that range? Ive noticed a few rubberclads going for 12K. I did find one watch I really like ref: 25721TI . OO. 1000TI . 04 but the owner mentioned the chrono hand gets stuck. Should I completely stay away? Assuming I can get it for 14K. Thanks in advance and apologies for the rambling. Ryan |

Assuming you’re going to get it services (first thing is do with any Pre-owned watch) then I probably wouldn’t be too stressed about a hand getting stuck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Reading your post my honest advice would be to wait until you have a bit more to spend and you don’t need to consider the budget for insurance & servicing.
I’m all for buying what you want first time - and AP ROO is absolutely an everyday watch. But rather than going for the lowest cost entry point, wait a bit longer and target what you really like the most - unless that is the rubberclad ? In which case get it fixed up by AP and it should serve you well.

Buy the seller. Is it a dealer with good reviews and things in order? If not, that’s a red flag. Seeing similar models at Chrono24 for around 20-22k. If you haven’t done it already, read the guide that is a sticky in this forum. Stick to the recipe there, and you can’t go too wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
