Kermit Back From Rolex!!!

Just got my Kermit 16610V back from the New York RSC. Couldn't be happier. Returned in foam padded box with green leather carrying case and booklet. Looks new again. I had them replace the bezel insert which matches the original.

Of note this has the earlier D2 dial with the later B5 insert. The case has the serial number on both the six o clock side of the case and engraved on the rehaut.

I was charged $750 for a full service and $81 for the bevel insert.

I don't have any pics of the bracelet. It had the usual scratches. None too serious. The case had some dings on the back and a couple of small scratches on the bezel.

I sent it back because I had it for 10 years without service and it was losing time. It is now more accurate. I haven't measured it much yet!

Would be interesting to know how accurate it runs after a service. Mine will probably need servicing in the next year or so.

After a day or so, it seems to be running around +1sec/day. When I originally bought it, it was running +7sec/day. This went on for years until it went up to about +10sec/day in the last year. Much better now!

looks great!

Good to know the insert only worth $81 in Rolex's view, while people paying thousands for the difference:-)

I don't think you can change from black to green unless you had an original green.

Exactly! Or those saying a certain shade of green is more valuable. Ridiculous.

This is in line with the cost of other alu inserts for Sub and GMT. Makes me wonder why some people claim that RSC charges about $300 for the green one... But this one puts that claim to rest!
