Exp 1 (36) or dateJust 36

Giving an example

If you had

Ceramic gmt master (air)

Pre-ceramic sea dweller (sea)

Would you add a DJ white dial (land) or a explorer black dial (land)

You have great Sporty watches already. And you have only black dials so far. Get the DJ.

If these are the only 2 choices, I’d go DJ36. However, the Explorer 39 doesn’t wear that big, so a possible consideration.

In your specific situation this. But get it silver sunburst.

thanks guy for the feedback and opinions.

ive touched the DJ36. the jubilee bracelet and white gold bezel certainly wins the exp 1.

i think the DJ adds offers more variety, because the other two existing ones are already oysters bracelet.

I think the DJ would be nice as a dressier piece, but I don't love the one you chose. I might go Explorer as a result.

I am looking to buy a 36mm Explorer, but decided to try on a 36mm Datejust with white dial, roman numerals and gold bezel just this Friday passed. Like you, I’m drawn to both. But once I tried on the DJ, it just didn’t do it for me. It’s such a personal thing. Glad you were able to decide also.

I know it sounds bad, but partly I want the 36mm Explorer as I think it looks great on a leather strap.

Two or three months off yet unfortunately. Getting impatient which is why still looking at others (the DJ I checked out was from 1988, so a bit cheaper than the Exp.). You close?

Have couple on watchlist but prices little steep as what I would like to fork out for.

So probably hang around and keep searching for now

Tough. I’d take a 214270 over both. But between the two you picked, I’d take the DJ.

Have the GMT ceramic and Exp1. The combo covers most everything for my needs. However I do want DJ 16220 or 16234 jubilee. I think adding the third rounds out the collection - modern vs. classic and three iterations of bracelets.

What about a diver? To complete your air land sea collection theme

I am working towards air(gmt ceramic) land (dj) sea(SD) & subterranean (polar)

Just short of having the DJ now :)

I actually have the SD4K ceramic. Switched to GMT for improved comfort, so thinking about moving the SD. If I were to add another diver it would probably be the 14060m. Further disclosure is that I have 6.5" wrists, so the classics seem to fit me better. However, I think every fan of Rolex sport models should have at least one ceramic!

Yea any diver is good.
Have a aluminium; a ceramic. Both have their own merits

I'd go for the DJ, although it doesnt fit in with your theme as much, as I don't get the land link? I mean perhaps by default that it isn't anything else.
