SBGK005 box
Hi,
Looking at buying a preowned SBGK005. Does anyone know whether the watch comes in a special box? Thanks! |

I’m not an experience preowned buyer. I’ve just started buying preowned and wasn’t sure how much having a “complete” package affects the price of a watch (papers and box).
Is a preowned watch worth less if it is missing the box, for example? If so, how much less? |

It all depends on which watch and from what era. The value of box and papers can be up to 10-15% on the value of a Rolex/PP/VC or other high end watches. For a sub $500 Seiko that is pre-owned I look at it as a bonus but not a big deal.

Thanks. I’m looking at the SBGK005 with papers but no box. Would the 10-15% apply there?

Try taking a look on eBay to see if you can find a box and then deduct that amount from the price.
