SBGK005 box

Hi,

Looking at buying a preowned SBGK005. Does anyone know whether the watch comes in a special box?

Thanks!

I’m not an experience preowned buyer. I’ve just started buying preowned and wasn’t sure how much having a “complete” package affects the price of a watch (papers and box).

Is a preowned watch worth less if it is missing the box, for example? If so, how much less?

It all depends on which watch and from what era. The value of box and papers can be up to 10-15% on the value of a Rolex/PP/VC or other high end watches. For a sub $500 Seiko that is pre-owned I look at it as a bonus but not a big deal.

Thanks. I’m looking at the SBGK005 with papers but no box. Would the 10-15% apply there?

Try taking a look on eBay to see if you can find a box and then deduct that amount from the price.
