Poll for decision help
Hi all! Looking for help from the AP forum.
Not new to AP, but haven’t owned one in quite a few years. Looking to pick up an ROO again. While I do love the 44mm options, my SD43 is as big a watch as my wrist can handle, so the 42mm seems to be the best option when comparing the size to my Sea Dweller. So I’m looking at the....(pardon the nicknames, but it’s just for quick reference) 1. Safari 2. Ghost 3. Vampire 4. Other thoughts For reference.... cost isn’t an issue, resale not an issue, will be worn often, never will be dressed up (t shirts and jeans) Please....any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated as always. |

Really depends on what you have already -
Do you want a more bold color combination or just a neutral colorway? I personally like the navy ROO 42 (either old one with white dial/blue subdial, or the newer navy/orange combo). Feels elegant, sporty, and a bit understated at the same time. Good luck with the decision Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’ve always liked the ghost. The colors go together well. That would be my pick.

Thanks men. I’m going to try on a 44mm again before final decision. Just want to see it in comparison to my SD43. The diver is kind of off my radar, due to .....I just enjoy the SD43 very much, and I’m fairly certain that would be the case if I were to add the AP diver. That said, I’m leaning towards the ghost, as I love the fact of a CE bezel and the finish on that bezel is really sharp. I’m still debating between 42 and 44, but like I said, need to see sizes vs my SD43

Pics and or thoughts? True size thought process, when looking at these two if you’ve got them? I’d seen a pic somewhere of the 42mm AP vs SD43 and they look identical. Just wondering how much , or if the 44mm AP is more SD43 size or dssd ? |

Would vote for Ghost, Vampire or the Ti model.
Slight advantage to ghost or vampire due to in house movement with the modular chrono. Ti piece is incredibly light but no sapphire case back and movement is an old (but good) F Piguet ala ROC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I"m going with vampire. If you are never going to dress it up, then go with the most fun one!

Love the colors, but seems like the dial is too small and the bezel is too large for this piece, I’d have to see in person Quote:

Well Richard am not a fan of AP’s myself as they look too “Tonka” for me due to the big exposed screws, sharp edges, etc but this one looks cool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If I had to choose from those, ghost, 100%. In the metal, the ceramic is just incredible. Also I love the rubber strap.

I am a bit biased - I evaluated the Vampire and Ghost. I went with the Ghost and I have zero regrets. I really love it. I posted a pic a few weeks ago on a Horus 'Miami Blue' rubber strap. Really nice for the summer months!
Choose the one you like the most - There isn't a bad option, really. Good luck! |

Here you go. I bought a couple of other Horus straps as well (white, dark gray) but this Miami Blue will stay on for most of the summer. It wasn't actually something I was looking at, and Horus recommended it to me for the Ghost and I am glad they did.
