Toough choices - two stay, two go...but which?
I love Panerai. But I have to downsize my collection. I think I have an idea what I would like to do, but would be interested in hearing from the peanut gallery!
My other watches will be a Speedmaster on bracelet and a Bremont MBII orange barrel. So, if you had to keep two and sell two - what say you? PAM 1392 PAM 973 PAM 337 PAM 655 I am leaning towards retaining the 1392 and the 973. I think the 1392 definitely stays, but then get lost as to which other is a keeper; they all have distinct advantages. The 973 is easily the most robust and is a strap monster. The 337 serves as a dress watch, but I wear it the least - especially now that I rarely dress up! And the 655 is different in that it has a white dial and the movement is easily the best of the bunch, but I also think it lacks a bunch of the Panerai DNA. So....any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks - be well my friends! LBH |

I would keep the 1392 and 973. A Luminor and a Submersible.

I’d keep the 337 and 973. More variety (classic manual wire Rad + submersible).
I hear you about the 337’s more dressy side, but it can easily be dressed up or down, and I think it’s good in a collection of 4 watches to have one obvious choice for when you want/need to dress up a little. As for the other two, I’m not a huge fan of the blue hand on the thousand series Luminors or the 655’s ecru lume on white dial. YMMV. Good luck with your choices. |

I definitely think the 973 is safe and that the 655 will go. So down to the 337 or the 1392. The 337 serves as dress watch, the issue is whether it serves as much else. The 1392 seems a bit more versatile and the strap changes are way easier. Hmmm.

....and here i was thinking this post would spur some discussion! Well, looks like I will have to use my decision-making skills; was hoping to avoid that!

Tough choice for sure but of those listed I would keep the Sub and 337. Then you have the best of both worlds with good versatility. Let us know what you decide.

Still have not made the move yet - any other thoughts on this from the group? Might be convinced to keep the Sub and the 337 - but the 1392 is real hard to give up and is a great strap monster. Ugh.
