How many milgauss GV's were made in your opinion?
Just a thought ladies and gentlemen? I know they aren't a special edition or anything. I have yet to meet another person who has one however (well for here at least). I know there is some mixed feelings here about this watch, but it is my FAVE Rolex. It just speaks to me, and all you good folks here can agree with that for a personal choice. So I was wondering how many they made and why don't I see as many as say all the subs and Dj's around town. Is it different elsewhere in the world? I sure had one hell of a hunt getting mine and it was alot of fun and an experiance I will never forget. Also I wonder if they are still in production as of now? sorry to babble on, I just love the GV so much, and will be with me forever. Thanks for the thoughts people

Hmm, that would be a near impossible question to answer.
But we can assume it is more "rare" than the SS Daytona, just due to the fact the demand is not as high. Where did you end up getting yours? I know Brinkhaus has a few... did they tell you otherwise? I do quite like it, probably more than my SS Daytona's! |

I guestimate that given that there are over 1000ADs worldwide and each would get one GV in each shipment around 4000-6000 per year.
What you guys think

I have no idea about the production numbers, but I'm guessing that since the GV now sells for its MRSP (compared to a hefty premium last year), the number made can't be very small.
And I agree with you Dan - I really like the GV, it was on my wish list for months before I finally bought one last Sep. |

The GVs are very common in Tokyo. And Singslinger is right, the drop in price has huge.
Down to about US$6500. from a peak of US$20,000 less that a year ago. How rare is a question we can only answer when productions comes to a halt, which won't be for some time |

thoes things are everywhere and not moving fast -they were thought to be a rare item on their release and then the mill kept running driving price down.. they are more then most thought should be already.

I would venture a guess at there have been 15,000 to 20,000 GV's made since they came out.

Well Rolex now make almost a million watches annually so even if the GV is only !% of production, thats still a lot of GV watches a year
