GMT Meteorite dial how perfect is your watches?

I know every Meteorite dial is unique and no two dials are similar to each other. Also some dials maybe more perfect than others.

Curious to know how owners of GMT Meteorite like your watches? do you find the Meteorite dials of your GMT perfect or any particular details/patterns of the dials that you don't like or wish they were not there? or every dial, despite some imperfect details, is still beautiful?

Would love to hear your views and see photos of your watches as well.

I have it on the DD40. It's absolutely amazing. the patterns are totally different from every possible angle, although i could defintely identify mine looking from one certain angle.

I have yet to see on that doesn't look good! (sorry no photo iphone broken)

Yes the DD meteorite I saw last time was also perfect. But a few GMT meteorite I saw some dials I prefer than others. Some dials have some imperfections such as some areas are darker or stray from the overall patterns. I guess because meteorite is rock so it is very hard to have the perfect ones. But I want to know how do you see such imperfect details.

That would be down to you to decide for yourself, but i had a hard time even finding one to buy, let alone look at. It'll be very difficult to keep looking untill you find one you like. Personally haven't seen on that i don't like.

I don't know that JLC makes meteorite dials as well.

They are all different and will look amazing or not... depending on what angle and lighting conditions.

All meteorite dials looks amazing. The ONLY thing that I would avoid when buying one is if there was a major line/prominent area on the dial that takes away from the other sections of the dial.

As long as most of the patterns are even and well distributed throughout the dial I would be fine with it. There would be no 2 that are the same

Indeed this is what I mean.I think most Meteorite dials have some sort of undesirable details, and want to know if your watch have such issues. Of course some owners just accept them. Also perhaps Rolex has certain standards for those dials.

Could be. I actually passed a GMT Meteorite at a good offer because that particular dial had a small section which didn't follow the overall patterns, though the dealer tried to convince me that every dial is random. But then I rarely saw a perfect dial.

I understand the dial has been stabilized, but does anyone know of any instances where it "flakes" off at any point? would be interesting to know..

Polished meteorite is very smooth, I’ve never seen it flake off in any of the specimen examples I’ve seen.

I’ve noticed some that have pretty noticeable (and perhaps distractingly) nonconforming marks. Still if offered one at list, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

The "31" is actually blue, whereas the other numbers are black. That's why it looks lighter in the picture.

Didn’t initially realize the color on that # was blue. The other one posted looks black, but it could just be the angle. Regardless, it’s an awesome looking watch.
