Black Bay 58 blue dilemma
Hello everyone long time member first time poster. Here’s my dilemma I already own a Tudor Pelegos in blue, and I really like the new Black Bay 58 Blue do you think it’s silly to add another blue Tudor diver to my collection. I have the chance to pick one up. I know it’s personal taste but I’d like to hear some opinions, thanks in advance.

Have you seen the other post today about just this issue - 'Double Incoming!'?
The OP in that thread has both and they look mighty fine together. Obviously it comes down to personal preference. I probably wouldn't own both myself, but that's only because there are other Tudors I like better. But that's just me. You have to go with what sings you to - no point going for a GMT or bronze just for the sake of having something different if the blue 58 is what would make you happy. For what it's worth, both watches would look and feel quite different. And I suppose the way the wait list currently is, you could always buy the blue, wear it for a while to see what you think, and sell it without losing any money if it isn't working out. How are you liking your Pelagos? It's a beautiful watch! |

1) Get the Blue Bay 58 and if you feel like you have too much blue but like the BB58 better, trade the Pelagos for a black version (the LHD looks the business). 2) Try on the Blue Bay 58, and if you can tell on the spot that the blue Pelagos edges the BB58 out (but still like it otherwise), get a black BB58 |

I bought the Tudor Pelagos in black just so I could add a blue as well. I mean if you really like blue then grab it. It is a very different watch.
Otherwise, like the previous poster recommended... Why not pickup a different color BB to give yourself some variety? |

If you love it, don't worry about adding. The shade of blue (plus marker style) makes it a different watch style wise for all intents and purposes. Also sits much lower on the wrist.

Two very different watches (size, shade of blue, metal) that can easily co-exist in the same collection.

They will look fine together but the BB58 Blue is nicer in pics than in the metal. I'd be tempted to add something else instead. The Pelagos is far superior.

This is why ‘what should I buy’ advice doesn’t work. Everyone has different taste, likes and dislikes... OP buy what you love and wear it in good health. Trying to apply a logical reason to an emotive decision doesn’t work - we’ve all tried If we all liked the exact same things, and had the same views on everything... my god life would be boring. |

Well thanks for the input and I’m proud to say that it is now in my collection and like most of you said they are two very different watches. I changed they Pelegos to the rubber strap while at the AD so now they are even more distinctive again thanks for the input.

I would pick it up for sure. If at some point you develop a favorite, part ways with the other. Win-Win!

Not silly at all if you like it. Two different models that wear very different and two different blues.

The Pelegos and BB are two completely different watches imo. The dials are worlds apart & the blues are different shades too.

Agree completely that they are so different
I had a blue pelagos and sold it quickly as too big for me and I wasn't taken with the style I bought bb58 blue and for me it is a superior watch and a keeper But that is just my 2c worth Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Go ahead and pick one up. Worst case scenario, you end up liking one more than the other, and dump one of them.

Other than the color very different. Congrats on picking it up. Let's see a pic of both on your wrist.

I just look at how many black dial watches I have...
And only two blue dials. You have a nice collection there! |
