Present from GF unsure if its real. From watchshopping.com

Hello i got an amazing gift today from my girl friend today and i am a little worried about the watch. The outer white box and lume both seem to be off but this is also my first tudor, i can just sense a fake microtech (knive) from a mile away and some of the same senses are going off.

The reviews of this guy are my biggest red flag, watchshopping.com.
The sticker on the white box don`t come back to my watch when i search for them.
The lume is super weak, it hasnt been out of the box long, buts its really dim but clear.
If it is fake, any advice?

I'm not an expert in Tudor watches, but from my quick review it appears to be real.

Take it to a local Rolex-certified watchmaker who can open it and confirm its authenticity.

If not, you can contact the seller about your options.

+1 probably the best option if you want to avoid any doubts altogether.

Do we need to put a genuine Tudor in danger Paul?

The minute hand shouldnt touch the outer white circle (tiny gap). Is it the case with yours? From the pics, it looks like it goes a bit beyond the circle.

Does the date work well? If yes, it's a fake. (This last sentence is a joke OP)

For their eye-watering prices the watches better be real...

In this second photo, it seems to be matching the official Tudor photo with a tiny gap. But hard to tell since the watch is not orthogonal to the camera.

OP, for full disclosure I'm nowhere near being an authentication expert. But just comparing your photo with the one on the Tudor website, there seems to be a minute hand difference.

The watch itself watch looks ok. But i'm certainly not fully across Tudor.

Sometimes it's best not to look a gift horse in the mouth

Looking at other pics from members here, the minute hand sometimes touches the circle.

So yours is probably all good too

(1.) Your watch is legit. It looks legit. Don't try to compare it to some mock-up advertisement image where there seems to be a tiny gap or something. Your minute hand is fine. Check a real-life image of it. Here's one that's a little more accurate:

https://www.tudorwatch.com/-/media/m...830rb-0001.jpg

(2.) Watchshopping.com is a legit seller. Their website is secure and legit. They also sell on Chrono24 with 2500+ sales of luxury watches. If the watch was bought from watchshopping.com, then it is almost certainly with 99.99999% likelihood to be authentic.

PS: I have no personal/business affiliation with watchshopping.com, but I have bought from them and received genuine products with factory warranties and had no issues whatsoever.

(3.) I am sure your timepiece came with a factory warranty. Look at the warranty card. The printed serial number should match your watch. Now check the card for some security features. Flash a UV light in the left upper corner. You will see the Tudor UV hallmark. Next, look at the 3 horizontal red lines with a loupe, there should be micro-text security printing saying "international guarantie" or something similar to that. Finally the embedded printing on the text of the card has an unusual pixelated, block appearance of its type-font. This is identical to what Rolex has on their authentic warranty cards too.

(4.) Wind that sucker up to its full wind and let it run. It should have a power reserve of 70 hours. It should also be pretty damn accurate. If your watch stops running on a full wind in the neighborhood of 40 to 50 hours or if the time-keeping sucks, then you might have to worry the movement is not genuine.

(5.) Final point: In case it wasn't clear from above, I think your watch is legit and I also trust watchshopping

----- edit: also I think that reddit thread was debunked about the fake Bvlgari watch, wound up being genuine.

I have this model and it looks authentic. Box too.

Additionally, I have done business with watchshopping.com (and even sent in a watch for factory warranty that I bought there). They were great, and have many positive reviews on Chrono 24 to back them up. I wouldn't worry.

I have also purchased from watchshopping. Everything went smooth on my end. It wasn’t in a higher price bracket, but everything was perfect.
