Hollow link TT sub/GMT question.

I've got my eye on a nice 16713LN right now, ive always been a fan of the 16613LB. Ive passed on a few good ones because of the hollow center links and now im kicking myself. So for those of you who have owned any of the variants, how do they hold up for daily wear?


Im not necessarily hard on my watches but i also dont want to worry about it if swimming or hitting the gym or whatever the day brings. Or should i shell out the extra bucks for the 6 digit models with the solid center links?

I have a 16613 black dial. I wore it most days for about two years. Centre links for scuffed up of course. But it’a kinda like the more hairline scratches you have the less you see. Held up absolutely fine.

I think it’s a myth that hollow links wear faster compared to the newer solid.
The wear surface is equal and one might argue that the new solid bracelet is heavier resulting in faster wear.

Keeping it clean is key.

They've been around for 50 years. There are extreme wear examples that we see here from time-to-time, but the vast majority of them are just fine. We see just as many worn out stainless bracelets too.

I've had a lot of the 5 digit with the hollow links. Including the one you're interested in. Never a problem with them.

Awesome thanks for the input everyone, i think ill go for it. The glide lock is a super nice feature but isnt a make it or break it deal for me, it just means ill have to get more of course

Have a 16113 myself; it is a perfect watch for everything! Don´t worry and wear it in good health!!

I’ve owned a six digit 116613lb and a five digit 16713 ln. No problems with either bracelet. Keep it clean and snug and you are good to go for your lifetime and beyond!
