H. Moser Streamliner Matrix Green

After the launch of the first Streamliner watch, a chronograph version, during the first quarter of 2020, H. Moser announces a second model: a three hands version!
Unlike the first chronograph version, this new model is not a limited edition. Nevertheless the annual production will be very limited. Only a few dozen for 2020.
The mechanism is the well-known HMC 200 with 3 days of power reserve.
The new streamliner is a 40mm watch and is waterproof as it has to be for a sport watch (12ATM).
The thickness is 9.9mm without the sapphire crystal and 11.8 with that curved glass.
We expect a price between 19k€ and 19.9k€ (depending on the EUR/CHF fixing).
Last but not least, the dial color is green, a “matrix” green.
Mu first impression: I find this watch very interesting.
The peer group of this watch is without any doubt composed by the Royal Oak 15202 and the Nautilus 5711. We identify the Genta style reinterpreted by H. Moser. That said, I do not consider the Streamliner as a substitutable watch to these two iconic watches and the choice concerning dial color is one of the reasons. H. Moser might choose a more conformist blue dial but they did not. They chose a novel fumé green dial instead of the griffé dial of the chronograph. Indeed, fumé dial is the signature dial of H. Moser; these dials make H. Moser watches very special and I appreciate the choice of a fumé dial for this Streamliner. Choosing the green is assuming their own style and standing out from others.
Therefore, this choice makes this watch a watch that we want to own once we have already had the classic watches (Royal Oak, Nautilus, Overseas). An original timepiece with limited production from a small independent Maison. In any case, it will be difficult to criticize this watch because of esthetical similarities with the Royal Oak and the Nautilus. An interesting fact is this Streamliner family is not an additional family for H. Moser, it is a really step. It is being promoted and it will be in the future. 
The price positioning is also very interesting the price is fixed below 20k€ when others comparable pieces are around 27-28 k€.
This watch reminds me a watch that I own: the Chronometre Bleu.
A bewitching and daring dial by an independent brand with very limited production.
H. Moser is more and more in sight. For instance, the success of their collaboration with MB&F highlights this fact.
A warning point could be the thickness for me. I have to see it in the flesh to be reassured concerning this point.

Great dial as always, and liking the unusual form and style. I'm not sure about the uniform brushed metal though. Would like to see more complications, a date at least.

Absolutely gorgeous, but shame it's so large. Of the new independent entrants, only the Czapek Antarctique seems to get the proportions right.

I think you’d be in the very, very small minority calling a 40mm sports watch large. Also, it wears smaller than its proportions (I can verify after trying on the 42mm chrono).

I like pretty much everything about this watch except the race inspired minute track. I get its application on a chrono, but seems out of place on a time only.

I think when you compare it to an AP RO it's okay, from a quality standpoint, but Moser needs to understand they are not viewed like AP. Nor do they hold their value like AP.

I don't think this is a valid consideration in pricing. It's quite cynical, actually, and speaks volumes of our instagram "HOT THING NOW" world. Something like this - the engineering, the manufacturing - it is not cheap. Per watch, amortised for development, these probably cost the company far more than an RO. Just because "the market" doesn't appreciate them, doesn't mean they should (or can) bring it down in price. I for one think it's definitely within the ballpark.

Beautiful watch, but I'd miss the date and find the green less versatile than the grey of the chrono (or some other colors including black, white, and blue).

Love the size at 40mm. I was hoping for a smaller, timeonly regular edition and glad they introduced one. Slightly bummed on the dial color choice. I would have preferred blue, black, or the original grey.

On the price, they are charging a $10K premium for bracelet and case design over the steel Pioneer. Considering it is using the same movement as the pioneer, that's a big step up in price. You are basically competing with Vacheron Overseas and Royal Oak 15500 here. The discussion whether the watch is worth the price based on movement, finishing, and exclusivity is irrelevant as the market prices the Moser watches way below retail. I, for one, think they priced it $5-$6K higher.

Still, I will wait for a blue dial and then try to grab one new at 25% off retail.

Pretty slick just not something I’d want 20k plus into. That said I imagine there will be considerable interest.

Journe should hire whoever is designing the cases and bracelets for them to revamp the linesport lol

The price seeming a bit too high is the only thing holding me back from ordering today...I like the look and smaller size (vs the chrono) a lot. $7-8K more than the new Parmigiani Tonda GT on bracelet. I think it looks better, but not sure about 50% better to me.

All that being said, I might still order it...

Love the watch, but for an everyday watch like this I’d like a date, plus I think the price is a bit high, considering it’s not in a precious metal. Would have liked to see it at $15k with a date.

I think it's odd too the water resistance. I didn't know of any watches outside of the nautilus or aquanaut with 120m WR and now the Odysseus and this both have the same.

And concerning the price, the premium is due to the bracelet, the case, the gold rotor and the hands.
