Thought I'd share my weekend with you...
Well, I haven't been around to much lately. Just got a new project at my company. Working more hours than normal as I'm responsible for the project. I was looking forward to catching up on my TRF this weekend, but my fiance said she packed the suitcase and we are ready to go, but ready to go where?
This happened just seconds after I put my original bezel back into my sub. I got this watch about a year ago for my birthday and I thought I'd like it back to original for my birthday again. Well we get in my car and she starts driving. She fakes like we are going to the airport and we end up downtown at the Four Seasons Hotel. We get checked in and go up to our room on the top floor. No sooner than we hang up our cloths, the doorbell rings. (Yes a door bell in a hotel room!) And here is what greets me! Turns out my fiance planned the weekend out for me for my birthday. The hotel is AMAZING. The best service I have ever had in my life and the hotel is not to shabby either. Nothing overly special, just very very very clean and contemporary. The people there felt genuinely kind and incredible attentive. So we share my little cake and then head downstairs for my next surprise. We have a 90 minute Swedish massage. Again incredible. This massage was in my top 2 massages ever. We go back upstairs, completely relaxed and I'm thinking I'm hungry. My fiance has my clothes picked out for me, I get dressed (I snap a pic or two) and we are out for dinner. Dinner was very good (Italian) and the view was better. We had a great bottle of wine, some steaks and chocolate souffle. The view. So, then we realize we are at the newest casino in town and neither of us have ever been (not really big gamblers) but we go to check it out. I sit down and lose $100 in like 10 minutes on blackjack. I kid you not I won 2 hands! Oh well, we check it out. Walk around a bit, talking and having a beer. I tell her, maybe your luck is better than mine. She wants to play roulette, but the line is long, so she goes to the machines *shudder*. Anyway, she goes to a $5 machine, does one pull and wins $100. Back to even!!!! She is done and we leave back to the room. An incredible day and night thanks to my fiance! So we wake up today and have a wonderful breakfast and checkout. We then have lunch with her parents and its back to the real world of weekend chores. We go home and decide to get a jump start on our kitchen remodel. Don't know why we decided to do it today, but we did. This thing is gonna go! The work is messy, but doable. Only took about three hours to get to this point. Hey you can see the TV I hung up last week. Let me tell you, running wires in an insulated wall is not fun, but the end result is worth it! While we were doing this, we took some videos of the demo. I gave her the hammer to put some holes in the wall. Truly entertaining. She is a gem! I'll try and post them sometime, but it would take forever at home. Here are the colors we have ordered up for our future kitchen. The floor is already in, the cabinets are dark alder, the counter is quartz and the sink is also quartz (biscuit colored). We haven't decided on backsplash yet. We are changing the layout, adding an island and a powerful hood. We do a lot of cooking with a wok, so we need ventilation. Thanks for sharing with me guys and gals. Viva la TRF!!!

Looks great you may want to try a stone tile back splash. Thats what we did and it looks great.
I will try to post a pic on this thread tommorow so you can see what i mean if you want. It's 4x4in tiles from the counter top to the top cabinets looks pretty good. |

Here is those pictures. Maybe not your style but we like it.
You would probably need to use diffrent color tyles as your cabinets would be darker. Also happy birthday Looks like a cool resturant you went to. |
