Hublot vs Panerai
I am looking for a black, full ceramic sports watch to add to my collection. I have narrowed down my search to the following 2 pieces - PAM00335 and Hublot Big Bang Unico Black Magic 42mm. Both can be had for a significant discount via grey. This will be my fun watch for weekends. Which one do you guys prefer? Both have their own merits.

Without any doubt I'd catch the PAM buddy...

I love the Unico Black Magic and this would be an easy decision for me. That said, can’t go wrong either way.

One is a traditional company with more than 100 years and the other is a new brand from 1980. To me it makes a big difference but that's just me.

But that history does have some sinister figures in it though... as much as I like Panerai (have 2 myself), I‘m not entirely sure that the heritage portion is the best selling point, especially with regard to the ceramic ones that are as far as can be from an original Rad‘. Both watches shown by the OP are very unique iconic designs, but only one is the best possible rendition of that design... and that would be the Hublot. Now if that Pam were in polished steel, my verdict would be entirely different.

Hublot for me. The Unico movement is awesome and easy strap change system is great too.

Panerai
The Hublot looks like a mishmash of Genta’s greatest hits with elements of the Nautilus, Ingenieur, and Royak Oak, without achieving its own character. That said, the 335, like my 317, is pretty atypical/untraditional for a PAM. |

Hublot vs Panerai
I’d have to go with the Panerai.
You can swap straps for increased versatility. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I like them both , hublot is technically advance modern watch where as Panerai has a timeless classic charm. Can't go wrong with the either.

I'd definitely go with the PAM, however I would look for a 317 for a bit more $$ than the 335.

Between those two, the PAM. Have a look at Zenith too...
