1312 open or solid case back?
The website shows a solid case back for the 1312 but the ones I’m digging up on Chrono24 and grey market are with an open case back. What’s the deal?
I know the 1313 and 1314 are solid case backs as well. |

Unless they changed it to solid this year, the website is an error. 1312 has always had an open back.

Just checked website again. The Lume looks different here as well. Confusing.

1312 open or solid case back?
They just released a new version of the 1312. It now has a solid case back and they went back to the original lume as opposed to the vintage style ecru lume.
I got to see the prototypes in person for a few new Luminors. I have an IGTV story on my IG if you wanna see them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a question for everyone, which version would you rather have? Generation 1 PAM 1312 that has open display caseback and ecru lume dial? Or the new generation PAM 1312, with closed caseback and non ecru lume dial?

I personally love looking at the movement. When given the choice, I would always go with an open case back.

I went to the PAM website to have a look at the “new” 1312 after reading this post...and I can say that I prefer the 1st gen display caseback and ecru lume.

Personally, I really like the change back from “fauxtina”/ecru lume.
As for the case back, the P.9010 not being much to look at, I’m also fine with that change: I prefer the feel of steel against the wrist compared to a crystal, and having a closed back is more authentic (IMHO) for a Panerai. Now if only they would drop the blue second hand..... |

Sorry! It was 1321 that has a clear caseback.
