Insurance

I just bought a Sub LV and am thinking about getting insurance for it. Anyone know of a good company, and what the cost would be? Will the insurance cover damage or just total loss?

FWIW, I just have my Rolexes insured for total replacement under a "personal articles" policy through my regular insurance guy (he's just like a good neighbor). My wife has some jewelry under that policy too, so I'm not sure of the cost of just the Rolexes, but it's fairly cheap, and It takes the worry out of diving with my sub.

Same here. Just remember to get a new apprasial every time there's a price increase and submit it to your agent

I think we pay around $100-$120 per year to cover both mine and my wife's watches and her engagement ring.

statefarm. i just asked for computation 2 months ago for my sub. around 60-70d yearly.thief, lost, fire anywhere in the world. incase of burglary u just need to get a police report,if it got lost they will replace it but u will go through investigation. Or if u have house insurance u can include your watch too. try statefarm

Alfa Insurance is great around here, however I believe they are only located in Alabama. I believe its something like $10 per thousand. You cant beat the service and theyre thousands times easier to deal with than most of the rest

I also have the State Farm personal articles policy. It covers repair costs for breakage as well as replacement in case of "mysterious disappearance."

USAA here. Loss, theft, fire, and also damage.

About $8/year per $1000 insured.

so,
If you have a small collection, say
$100,000 then insurance is only about $700 a year?

I stay away from my home owner's insurance for insuring my watches and jewelry. If there is a burglary and you make a claim, your insurance on your home will go up about 20 - 30%.

Ours did when we were burglarized in 2006. It's still up there because of it.

I recommend Jeweler's Mutual.

How about contacting your homeowners or renters insurance?
