Tighten Day Date Clasp

Has anyone used one of these to tighten the older clasp on a Day Date?

If not, what has worked for you?

Wrap the pincers with electrical tape.

The idea on those button style catches is that the "button" either wears down on the outside, or it squeezes together.

These tools just bend the blade and effectively widen the button so that it will once again be tight in the button-hole.

You can also use a couple of flat screwdrivers and carefully insert into the middle of the button and open the gap, which also widens the button for a tight fit.

I used two pliers but with a wider jaw. At first a bit reluctant but surprised how easy it was.

Rolex has their own tool which works the same as the ones pictured.

Just visit your local AD and have them tighten it. Quick, free, and no risk.

Try and find out they don’t have a clue how to tighten a DD clasp from this age.
They will try to bend the plate which has no effect on this particular clasp.
