Need help on authentication of Tudor 76200-0011

Hi guys, this is my very first time in posting here and my first BIG watch purchase and also to commemorate a milestone in life.

I would like to humbly ask for you help on my first BIG purchase as I believe you are the ones who have the eye and experience in doing so

Im buying from a "verified seller" from chrono24 namely YourWatches ApS from Copenhagen Denmark.

They are not an AD but they told me that they buy the watches from official retailers.

They sent me pics of the watch and i would to ask for your advice regarding its authenticity. I know pictures are not a lot to go with, even then may i ask for your advice?

Also anyone has experience with this seller?
Is this Tudor model faked often?

Here are the pics. Any help would really be great coming from you.

Cheers,

Marv

here are the pics from the seller:

No, this model does not have solid end links, as can be clearly seen in one of the photos above.

There's a long thread on them here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=525591

How can you say that if you can clearly see the (non solid) end links in the pictures posted?

Keep in mind that these are still being produced for the Asian markets today and those are not solid end links.

Unless you have it verified in person by somebody who can authenticate it inside and out, you are risking buying a watch that is not 100% authentic. Many people have posted here that they bought a watch only to find out later on
that it was not authentic or was a frankenwatch with replaced parts from another watch. Is the risk worth it?

i looked at the comments for the seller, there were a couple who bought the same model in the past month ... all gave good reviews

Not saying the seller is a scammer, but all scammers have good reviews until they get caught. Unless you have it authenticated before you buy it, you are risking your money. Not worth it.

Also, on a side note, im considering a BB36 as an alternative this one.. would the 800 or so price difference worth it and just jump on the BB36? im looking for an everyday watch that i could wear with a suit. im on a suit practically every other day of the week..... and not worry to get wet

i have a black bay 36mm....I love it...it dresses up and dresses down depending what you are wearing...It is a very understated classy watch. I got the blue dial on Steel bracelet. the black face is very classy too....I just chose the blue as i liked something that would go with some colorful shirts I have.

Thank you for the warm welcome.. I like the bb36, but the 800 euro difference is a bit of a tough pill to swallow

800 gives me a nice mid tier watch already... But then again, as the saying goes... Buy it nice the first time or buy it twice.

As we mentioned on WUS

The watch is real and looks good. If you like it buy it. Just buy it through Chrono24 using a credit card so as to protect yourself. (don't ever pay with a bank transfer)

This watch model is popular in Asia (like most Tudor Prince models) everywhere else they are dogs and don't really sell

It is a nice watch but like i said before, if you really like the BB36 then wait for one of those instead. Nothing like really wanting a watch but settling on another and then finding the watch you want at a good price but you cannot buy it because you spent the money on this watch.

The BB models have a good resale value, the Tudor Price does not so you will be stuck with it

Had this variation and regrettably sold it. The dial is fantastic! Looks legit to me as well. Don't forget to show some wrist shots when it arrives!

It is real. Comes with LC888 warranty card as it's the only place they're still/currently available.

Enjoy that bad boy, I have one of these myself.

Great looking watch. Goes well with blue and I like the gold.

OP the Tudor you are considering looks real to me, but I'm not too familiar with Tudor and the Prince model. I think as others have said, to be even more sure it would require to have case back opened and the movement verified by a reputable 3rd party watch maker.

I really appreciate your inputs.. It feels good to be a part a community of watch enthusiasts like you...

Thanks.. I will use your inputs in my buying decision and will update you.

Im taking my time.. I enjoy the journey of hunting for the one watch as much as owning one.. Who knows i might even be more patient and just wait for the right time until i have the resources for an OP : )

I will surely update this thread on which one i will acquire

Thanks again guys

Don't forget, you should be able to negotiate a saving on the BB36 at an AD, so that 800 (Euro?) difference may also decrease.

The best advice is to go with the watch you like most, whether that's now or a few months further down the line.
