How terrible.

Every time I turn on the news, I see another update on that Boston University med student - each one more bizarre than the next. My heart goes out not only to the victims, but also to his fiancee. I do realize that he is innocent until proven guilty, but it's not looking good.

Not looking good at all, Carolina. They are now saying that his fiancee loves to live a lavish lifestyle, and that MAY have driven him to rob the women - to obtain money to keep her in the lifestyle to which she had grown accustomed.

We shall see...

Nah, thats just another excuse. This guy is just plain crazy and stupid. He kept the underwear of his victims. He beat the crap out of the girl before he shot her at close range. His fiancee is lucky to be alive.

No question, Bruno. That's the bottom line.

That may have driven him to steal or gamble, but only an extreme sociopath would do the things he's accused of...especially keeping their panties as a gruesome souvenir.

Just looking at his empty eyes on TV gives me the creeps. And seeing the girl's father looking so absolutely devasted in court hearing what he had done to her...I need to go back to my TV boycott.

Absolutely spot-on, Kevin. And as for a TV boycott...I seem to be considering that more and more frequently these days!

I don't know the clinical term at all if he did do this - psychopath, bi-polar? To be able to be one thing and appear to be its opposite is not an easy thing for normal people to pull off.

His fiancee is very fortunate.

He's on a suicide watch now in the prison. The officers found "shoelace marks" on his neck. Not the least bit surprising.

The sad thing is that his 'lab' co student said she was not at all surprised and that she had felt he suffered from mental illness. His fiance, also apparently a med student would go off to Foxwoods Casino in mid week with him. Seems like the school's work load was not too great.
Tragic event for all involved. The Boston Police Department seems to have done an excellent job.

I agree with everything, but also IMO crazy for people to be advertising on sites to promote themselves or "services". I'm suprised it hadn't happened sooner to be honest. The world is a crazy place sometimes, but the victims absolutely took a risk by meeting people from internet ads.

My deepest prayers go out to his victims and their families.
