Grand Seiko SBGA427

Has this model been released yet?

I've been searching hard for my first GS and this is definitely the one. I don't have easy access to a GS dealer so what would be my best option for purchasing this watch?

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I'll start making some calls tomorrow.

Is there a discount possible on these? I've never bought a GS before, just wondering if price negotiations are possible with the brand.

At an AD (non-boutique), you should be able to get 15-20% off .

I've reached out to a handful of dealers this week and so far nobody is willing to discount this watch.

Should I continue to call other dealers or expect to pay full price on this piece?

Regarding the overall quality and the immense pleasure you will get through the ownership, full price is quite cheap in the end

you should be able to get a discount.......but honestly usually a lot easier to manage when you're in person. LE's are harder but still can usually get a small discount. stinks when they're nowhere near.

Ya, it's been tough trying to get anything done over the phone. But I did find a dealer that offered me 10% off, no tax and free shipping. Should have the watch tomorrow and I'm happy with $4,500.

Excited to get my first GS!

No, JB Hudson Jewelers in Minneapolis. They are the closest GS dealer to me and the only one I found (out of about 10 cold calls) to offer a discount.

A friend of mine has just bought the new SBGJ237 model. At an AD in Munich, Germany. Pretty easily he got a 15% discount.

But usually the GS’ approach to discounting is very conservative.

It’s here!

Wow! Really impressed so far. When i first put it on i thought the it looked a little too small but after wearing it all afternoon i think it’s almost a perfect fit. Looking forward to spending some more time with this one!

Gold green and white is a good combo. I'd like to see more like this in their 2021 collection.

Agree, these colors work well together and I’m a bag fan of this particular green they use here.

Congrats! I’m happy you have it on your wrist already!

Could you share with is your feelings - is the dial more silver or white? Does it change a lot depending on the lighting conditions?

Yes.

Certain angles it looks silver and you can see the vertical texture to the dial but a slight roll of the wrist changes it to a white/off white/eggshell look and the texture seems to disappear. Very impressed with the watch. The indices are incredible and capture light at any and all angles.

I can tell this will not be my last GS
