Black dial DSSD or 40mm rhodium dial Yachtmaster?

Just got off the phone with an AD I've never bought from but visited a month ago and they just got a a 40mm rhodium Yachtmaster and a black dial DSSD in today. I'm going in the morning to try both of them on and see which one i like best. I'll be leaving with at least one of them, maybe both. I've never had either one on so this should be interesting.

Have an idea which one you’re leaning towards more if not both? So very different!

I've really been lusting after the rhodium dial Yachtmaster from the pics I've been seeing so I'm leaning in that direction. I'm glad i have the opportunity to try it on to see if it lives up to the pics.

You've got two very different watches to choose from.
DSSD is a perfect example of overengineering, nobodoy needs a watch for depths of 3900 m
On the other hand, the YM is a beautiful piece of jewelry, more so than the DSSD.

I would go for the DSSD.

No wrong choice between the two, but two very different watches. Make sure to post pics on the final selection tomorrow. And congrats in advance.

I had the same choices last year. I went with DSSD.
Love them both, but I'd like the ceramic finish better.

As has been said they are two very different watches, it will not be an easy comparison.
If you are able to get both go for it.
Otherwise get whichever sings to you.
My vote would be for the YM blue dial.
Looking forward to seeing your pics when you decide.

Another vote for the YM40 - but try both on and see which one you connect with.

Both are cool watches but very different. The DSSD is difficult to try on without the bracelet being sized appropriately as it will be top heavy and move around. This is not the case when sized. The YM is nice for the metal bezel and interesting dial and second hand. I like it but have never owned one. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Always get the one that sings to you most. I would lean to the YM if I was in your shoes. I was able to try a DSSD from a friend, and I use to own the YM. The YM is one of the most comfortable watches I have ever owned, and that rhodium dial was just perfect.

I have a Cameron and a YM rhodium. I love them both but if I had to pick it would be the YM. Even at 6’5” 235 the DSSD is a commitment to wear.

Tough choice. As has been stated, 2 completely different watches here. They YMs have great dials! I like the size of the DSSD but would go for the JC version if getting that model, personally.

I have the JC and blue dial YM. Love them both but between the black DSSD and the YM rhodium, The YM wins hands down!

YM easy choice, if it were d-blue then it would have been harder.
