Just a heads up

Not sure about this one. If legit this is a steal.

No feedback as a seller, and all 17 feedback posts have been in the last month as a buyer. Definitely suspicious to say the least.

Buy the seller!

The watch might be real, but the seller may not be!

It’s eBay right? As long as you use PayPal it’s probably ok to take a flyer. Buy the watch using PAYPAL, take it to an appraiser/rsc the next day and get it authenticated. If it’s real great, if not, notify eBay and get a refund. Again, it’s super important that you purchase via PayPal. If you bankwire you are screwed.

No Returns is always a bit of danger sign too.

This is either a replica or a franken. Looking at the last picture the inside of the clasp is wrong. It shouldn't have for a lack of a better term a corrosive look. It should be polished.

Mine dates 2010 and it has the same media blasted clasp.

Except that the seller lists the production year as 2016. It should not have that clasp since by then all sub clasps were polished. You should do more homework

Put yourself in sellers shoes. Why would he, among all places sell this watch on eBay for that low + get ripped with another 15% eBay and PP fees combined?

In Germany where he's located, he could easily sell that watch in 24 hours for $15K without additional costs (and he is selling it for much lower than that) ..

You would get your money back if paid via Paypal , but do you really want to spend a month or more without that cash dealing with Paypal and eBay asking for your money back and thinking about it?

Yeah. No way. I bought an IWC on eBay once. I did a lot of research on the seller first. I saved a few hundred bucks compared to a gray dealer but I was nervous during the entire transaction. However I’ll never buy another watch on eBay. It’s just not worth the headache.

I almost got scammed on a submariner I bought. The guy had created a superfake including a real rolex movement, real parts (dial etc!). Completely nuts and 100% put me off ever buying from anyone other than an AD or very reputable used seller/grey dealer.

Luckily I got my money back thanks to someone on WuS who noticed, but yeah, like the others said, you really do need to buy the seller and even if you're pretty competent at buying things online...superfakes based on popular watches like Rolex/Omega are very real.

The Freudian slip at the end of the description is more informative methinks...

“All listed photos are from the actually sold watch.” As in, the completed auction from which I lifted these pictures.

Priced between 5k and 9k below market screams to you more than anything else.
