No one would buy it. It's already a niche product as is, remove the date and it becomes a window watch. Also, historically the Sea-Dweller always had a date, so it'd be kind of weird not having the complication. Then again weird or quirky sometimes works but only with a minority of die-hard collectors. Overall I think it'd be a flop.

Rolex uses colour to modernise their watches - like the new OPs.
I'd love to see some innovation like the Omega or Grand Seiko range from Rolex. |

If in theory the SD is a professional diver watch designed for saturation divers it needs to have a date. I realize very few of us do that for a living but that was/is the purpose for this watch.

oversizing the size and adding the lens was a mistake
removing the date would be another mistake for me Sea Dweller are only three 1665 16660 and 16600 then there is the great ! Deepsea but it is another thing another watch imho |
