anti reflective crystal?
sorry for my ignorance, but i'm starting to fall in love with these, someone showed me a watch the other day that had a blue tint and said it was an anti reflective coating on the crystal, did any panerai's ever come with such a thing?

Be careful. Are you looking at a 47mm Fiddy case with domed crystal. The blue around the ends is a giveaway for fakes!!!!!!!!

On some watches the AR coating makes the dial look purple in certain sunlight, it's just the thin film refracting the sunlight onto the dial and giving off this colour.
With every Panerai i've used i've never had a problem with glare from sunlight, so it does the job, on some watches i've owned there has been AR coating on the inside and outside which can cause problems, as AR coating can sometime look bad on the outside due to smearing, water, etc getting on the crystal and the AR coating making it look worse. The best for me is just having an AR coating on the underside of the crystal and leaving the outside clear.
