Not my watch
A coworker of mine showed me this pic of a watch his dad picked up and I have no idea on it’s background so I wanted to ask the serious experts here what info if any they can provide, not looking for value just history and does it look authentic at least from the outside

I'm no expert, but having the Rolex crown and both "Rolex" and "Tudor" on the dial would be a red flag to me. The "25" font on the date wheel looks strange to me. I'd suggest your coworker remove the bracelet and check the model number and serial number on the case between the 12 o'clock lugs and the 6 o'clock lugs.

Thank you gents for the info, what I know about these things is very limited ..
My hope is his father did not pay much for this watch, I will send him a message seeking more pictures but I was really skeptical when I saw the two names on the dial

It's a redialed Tudor. It was all the rage about 15 years ago. People wanted to associate it more closely with Rolex visually. Everyone knows Rolex. People that didn't know watches had no clue what a Tudor is. Also the California dial was a fad too. It all looks correct for Tudor though except for the redial.
