Have you ever switched SA's at the same AD?

For a few reasons I've become less confident in my SA at one of my AD's in delivering on what she has said. Unreliable timelines, omission of info, pushing other brands now, etc. I'm self-aware and know that I'm no where near being a VIP client but her overall change in communication and backtracking has made me weary. I'm thinking of going with a different SA there. Has anyone done that? If so, did it become a better or worse experience?

Have fun with that. You're better off switching ADs.

I could just see your original SA telling the mgr that he felt you were a flipper or something else and that's why he didn't provide you a better level of service.

If you've ever dated your ex sister in law you might have the finesse to pull this off.

the hunter biden laptop and the corruption that surrounds it is definitely not a snoozer implied by your zzzzzzzzzz

as usual...it is the intolerant left that will start the argument and then get upset and call foul when they are confronted and called it.

but im sure im being racist or something like that..

Funny you should mention that! Few years back I was going to my barber shop that I’ve been going to for 20 years and turns out my barber took a heart attack and I was forced to use his brother best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. It was a no appointment shop so when he came back I always hoped that he was busy so I could use his brother instead I didn’t have the heart to tell him I was only using his brother.

Just one more and that's it!

"Do you ever get down on your knees and thank God you know me and have access to my dementia?"

Loved that episode

Lol no need to apologize! I’ve been meaning to watch Seinfeld. I was a late viewer of Curb and LOVE it so it’s only natural to go back and watch Seinfeld. I’m guessing I’ll react to it like I did with Curb since I tried to watch it earlier in it’s run and didn’t “get it.” But love it now. Same with Seinfeld, when it came out I was much younger and couldn’t get into it but I’m thinking that will change.

Totally off-topic, but one of the reasons that LD left Seinfeld was because of the intensely scripted nature of network TV and the fact that he had to get everything approved by suits in multiple layers of NBC management. In contrast, Curb isn't scripted. It's all improv and HBO gives him full creative control of each episode. That's why it's so brilliant. LD comes up with scene ideas and how he wants the episode to flow, but there's no scripted dialog. The actors are all building off of each other's reactions during the improv and they might do 30 different versions of a scene and then put together a final cut from bits of all of those takes during editing.

Jeff Garlin did a great interview about the whole process of shooting a Curb episode. His background is improv, so he said it's the dream job of a lifetime. He said in contrast, when he shoots an episode of The Goldbergs, he has to ask permission to try a different thing during a take. He said he had to get multiple people to sign off on him changing 1 word during a take for an episode, so Curb is like heaven. He loves The Goldbergs, but it's a completely different style.

We actually bought from two SA at different locations of the same AD. Never had any issues with that in particular.

Interesting takes and can't say that I disagree. Probably why I posted it here first because I felt it wasn't going to be a good idea. I totally get the barber analogy and the ex sister in law was funny as hell. I'll have to check out that Seinfeld episode lol.

I actually had an SA that literally just stopped reaching out, offered me zero, and yes I would stop in to say hi, call and check on stock from time to time.

So I stopped in the store last month, met a new SA, hit it off and we’ve been in touch regularly since! I think I’ve officially made the switch.

Glad that worked out for you!

Communication (or lack thereof) is headed towards that for sure. The more I turn her down on other watches the more time in between increases when I hear from her. Maybe I'll need to drop by when she's off haha.

That's probably the standard "non-VIP" treatment at that particular AD now. It sounds like you have nothing to lose by trying a different AD.

That sounds about right. Could be a case of keeping my hopes up, maintain that relationship to keep coming back so that I can buy from other brands. The message went from "you're at the top of the list, there is no one else on it and you're getting it next month" to "we don't know when, we don't know when we get shipments, we don't know what's in those shipments, etc." blah blah blah. I was patient even with that one month timeline (this was back in June) and giving a pass due to the pandemic and possibility that shipments were slowed down but now I'm getting the standard BS line one would get new off the street.

I do have my contact out at other AD's but this particular one I have purchase history with already.

My SA is about 7 mos pregnant, so when she leaves for maternity - yep - I really think I'll be switching.

I like her a lot - she's always in communication - and very clear - but if she's going to be out for 6 mos... I know I'll need to jump.
