GMT2 SS vs Sub41 SS as daily driver?

Dear colleagues, which one to choose? And why?
Pros and Cons?

I don’t know.....I’m not a big fan of Jubilee bracelet but the watch is very good balance...... you can forget you have it on the wrist......

Which GMT ?
IMO a BLNR is an "easier" daily driver than a BLRO...
And as Gerardus said, it depends on your lifestyle (work environment, dressing style, etc.)

New Sub is better, more comfortable bracelet, slimmer lugs, more balanced shape, am I right?

I'd go GMT Master because I work with clients in different time zones and can also use the bezel as a timer. If I could have both, I would. Given that they are dissimilar in complications, case size and colours available, I imagine that one of them is pulling you more strongly? If not, you are probably destined to own both.

I would say both of them, though the driver watch should be a chrono, hence Daytona is the best one, IMHO.

I have both and the BLRO is the most comfortable. i have also had a BLNR , two tone GMT ceramic, stainless steel and precious metal Daytona’s (which are hard to read). If I could only own one watch it would be the BLRO. As far as a chronograph pick up a speedmaster saphire sandwhich, they are a classic vintage watch that you can still buy brand new , they are available, have a great story behind them and are about to go up in value.

Have You tried the new Sub? Less comfortable than GMT?

The new sub has a clasp bigger than a matchbox car. Can’t see how.

I have tried the new submariner on my wrist and it feels the same as the prior ceramic submariner ie feels no different.
The submariner is a great watch and you can’t go wrong. The submariner is much more available then the GMT. If you were offered both by a dealer at retail go for the GMT no brainer because you can always get a sub.

Definitely. The GMT on jubilee is extremely comfortable

In my case, I just don’t travel enough anymore to need a GMT. Having a GMT is pointless. I’d go with the Sub.

If you have a preferred function / complication I’d start there, otherwise all the opinions will be subjective.

IMO, the GMT on jubilee is more comfortable ... YMMV

IMO the diver bezel is more useful in my day to day ... YMMV

Good luck deciding. The best answer is usually both

I'd go with Sub, more brushing and less blingy. I am not a huge fan of the jubilee, I have on for my 16710 but rarely put it on, something about a brushed oyster bracelet for me.

As much as I love my BLNR the Sub bezel would be more useful to me day to day than the GMT function but YMMV. The jubilee is the most comfortable bracelet I’ve worn to date though.

I have always gone with the Submariner but in the last year I acquired a BLNR and a BLRO and can say they are great watches. The comfort of the jubilee bracelet is amazing and if I had to choose right now I would go GMT over Submariner. I have so many cool divers from other brands that I have that covered right now.

I wear my BLRO daily. Simply the most comfortable, and best overall package in the modern lineup imo. Does it all.

They both work well
But the sub has the edge over the GMT coz of the glide lock clasp

I would choose a gmt as it’s the more versatile watch. That said, for me it’s my sub date (16610) gifted to me by my parents 20 some years ago. The gmt like the sub tells time, date, can measure elapsed time, and offers the second time zone.

This. In addition, the GMT can be used for diving to 300 feet. How many sub owners actually dive deeper than 300 feet?

Echo others - depends on lifestyle and functionality preference.

Any Rolex is pretty flashy, but the GMT is more so than the sub given the GMT has the jubilee and the sub with the oyster brushed bracelet.

The Sub is nice as a timer, but funny enough I actually use my Batman as a timer too. It just only has 2.5 minute increments. For me, I work with a lot of other time zones, so I prefer the GMT. Though I prefer the previous gen GMT with the oyster bracelet, I have the more recent Batman with jubilee that seems quite a bit more dressy.

How many Sub owners even go swimming with it?

This here. There is a long wait for the BLRO (unless you want to pay $18500 for one).

I daily my BLRO and I love it however the Sub may have been better, it’s less polished and thus can get banged up more. On days my employees don’t show up I might have to do something physical and the brushedness of the Sub may be better suited to that.
