Ladies watch need help to identify
Can someone help with this identification please. The watch belonged to my wife's grandmother circa 1910 ish. Was it common or rare....any help with valuation would help...I have no idea what it is worth...but as we want to sell we ought to have some idea. It is 2.5 cm in diameter. ( 1 inch).
Thanks Steve |

The dial just doesn't look to be an original century old example to me, but maybe it's the picture..
Wilsdorf and Davis ladies watches are not particularly rare, although they don't show up much on the market.. Nicely tooled.. probably a Rebberg movement, 9kt UK hallmark ?? . This is one of those areas where you truly do need an antique watch expert to advise you on what you could get at auction... your best value.. I don't think that it would fetch more than around 500-700USD, if you found the right collector; perhaps less if you don't have the strap/bracelet etc. You might try to get hold of Jeff Hess, a member here who I believe has dealt in models this early..
