Hi, I don't speak english very well, so sorry for my language!
I hope this is the right section of the forum...
I have one rolex...
it was bought in 1971.
it belongs to Cellini's collection.
I think it is platinum.
Could you give some information about this rolex? rarity, value and so on...

I don't know anything about your Cellinis but au contraire, monsieur, your English is fine!

Welcome to the Forum

I don't think that your watch is platinum, although perhaps a platinum/rhodium dial.

The photos don't really show much, however, the Cellini Geneve models are "classic" hand-wound models with the simple lines and understated straps.. Perhaps the perfect dress watch..

Rolex broke ground with the Cellini back in the 70's when they produced one of the worlds thinnest mechanical watches...However, this line is not high on collectors lists, so re-sale is not high compared to the Perpetual line.

You should snap off the back to ensure that it is a Rolex movement...also, inside the case-back will be either gold or platinum hallmarks if it is made of either of those metals, and a model number to help your research..... I don't know any Cellini experts.

If original and authentic, it's resale value could be around 2500 (perhaps a lot less if it is 35 years old), but you might have to look for a buyer very, very hard or an auction house..

Replacement would be in the 5,000 (for gold) up to 10,000 (for platinum)..
