Everest straps?
Got one for my x2 21mm and liking it so far; Considering another for my 20mm gmt, but they are $$. Curious as to your thoughts and experiences with them over time.
Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've got one on my Tudor BB 41. Been living there for over 6 months. Great strap and very comfortable. No issues at all. Of the half dozen rubber straps I've owned over the years, the best is the Everest, but at that price, I'd expect it to be.

I got a sweet one on Etsy for my Tudor. Came with deployment clasp for $40. I looked at Everest but couldn’t justify it. Somebody will say don’t trust a cheap rubber strap to a spend watch, but if you like it go with it.

I’ve had both rubber b and Everest straps for my sub c and exp ii. They are of similar quality, but I like the rubber b much more because it doesn’t flair out like the Everest did. The rubber b fits my just-under-7 inch wrist much better.

My first Everest flailed out as you mentioned and it drove me bananas. I like the look and feel enough that I bought another pair in the correct size and it does not do it anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Why would anyone swap out an Oyster bracelet? These are not long enough for a man's wrist. Nor are Rubber Bs.

I'm not sure what you mean by "not long enough for a man's wrist." The straps I have are plenty long enough for most men. |

Wait what’s flailed or flared out mean? I don’t think mine is doing that. You mean the ridges? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No not ridges. Below the lugs it would flair out wider than the lugs then taper back in towards the clasp. Kinda like an egg shape in the middle of the strap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You bought another strap in the correct size you say? What size was the first and what size the second? I ask because I want to buy one for deployant on my datejust. Im just curious if you went with the sizing they suggest or if you went smaller/bigger? Thanks

I originally had 5x5 and went 5x4 and the clasp is much more centered on my wrist which may have some effect on minimizing the flair. I’m guessing wrist shape could come to play as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks. I assume you went shorter on the 6 oclock side. my datejust is 6x5 on my 6.75 inch wrist. May just have to roll the dice. BTW your watch looks killer on that strap. |

Couldn’t take off my oyster bracelet for a aftermarket rubber strap. Oyster bracelet is just to nice, but that’s just my opinion!

Exactly what I used to think! And believe me I love — love — oyster bracelets. But for a variety of reasons, rubber strap works better in some instances. For example, travel in developing countries; straps drops the bling factor by about half; Or in harsh environments that just grind up a metal bracelet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
